On Healthcare

Let's talk just briefly about preventative maintenance. I watched a documentary recently called Food Inc. If you have NetFlix you can watch it instantly. Here is what I learned from it.

Think about how much time, money and energy it takes to get a cow to a supermarket. I'm talking more than just birthing and feeding it. Where does the food come from? Its mostly corn, so you have to grow the corn, harvest the corn, ship the corn, distribute the corn. How much fuel, pesticide, water, land, trucks, electricity, etc. You get the point. Corn is just the main ingredient in the food, there's more to it than that. And that's just the food!

Think about if you went back to a field and some grass and some cows. Isn't that healthier and better for the environment? Sure its not convenient or mainstream but you end up with better meat and a smaller carbon footprint.

Then there is the fact that it costs too much to buy healthy food. I can go to Burger King and spend $2 and get a burger and a drink. It is easy and fast. I can't go to a store and spend $2 and get a meal.
